Features
The 120VAC Studiolite SL455DMX 4-Tube DMX Fluorescent Fixture from Bowens is a cool running light source with a built-in 100KHz electronic ballast for flicker-free operation for film, video or photography. Ideal for large sets or mounting overhead, the DMX compatible Studiolite can be dimmed from 100-0% remotely or locally on the back panel. However you choose to control it, your settings are displayed on the pack panel's large digital readout. Optional 5,500K or 3,000K lamps are available as are optional grids and barndoors that slide into the Studiolite's front accessory channels. The SL255DMX can be rotated to landscape, portrait or 45 degree oriention.
Digital Precision
With full DMX in and out control, Studiolites can be switched on or off or dimmed from 100% to 0% remotely or locally from the onboard digital control panel. Each unit can become a master control for banks of Studiolites linked together via standard RJ45 ethernet/DMX cables. The power output display can be easily switched from linear to f/stop units to make metering easy.
Built in Ballast
Each Studiolite features a built-in 100KHz electronic ballast to regulate the voltage input and ensure flicker-free operation. This makes Studiolites particularly useful on location where voltage may vary.
Stay Cool
The thermal design and ventilation of the Studiolite DMX ensures very cool running, with stable color temperature and light output over long operation times without fans. Cool running fluorescent tubes produce very little heat making the Studiolite comfortable for portraits and groups and ideal for still life.
